The new covenant enables us to love and accept ourselves just as we are. This is because we now understand God loves us no matter our condition or inabilities. (Rom. 5:6ff; 2Co 5:19). He has made us one with Christ. Seeing our union with Christ enables us to love our neighbor, as well as our enemies, those who stand against us. In manifesting this love we are well-pleasing to God and approved by man. (M’t. 5:43ff; Rom. 14:16ff).
Jesus said his followers would do greater works than he had done, because he ascended to the Father. (John 14:12). This is because of the work he finished at Calvary. (John 19:30). It is time to see this covenant that was established through unfailing love established in the lives of those who are around us. It is time for the accomplishment of Christ Jesus to become unveiled to all mankind. We now have the ability and desire to bring others to the recognition of the finished work of Jesus. We possess the same character as our Father and as He is Love, so are we in this present world. (1Jo. 4:17).
Let us seek after God with our whole heart, so we may learn the full implication of our being crucified, dead, buried, enlivened, raised and seated with Christ. Evangelism, or Announcing the Good News is vitally important today. If you do not have the ability to personally share with others, find someone, whose teaching you respect, and pass out their tapes and writings. Show others that God loves them and accepts them just like they are.
